Treatment.

Treatment.

Working Title: Taken
Production Team Name: Moxy Productions
Format: The format of our product will be on film because we are going to film on digital camera and the final cut will be made to be viewed in High Definition.
Genre: The genre of the film is Horror as it could relate to people with phobias of being kidnapped or stalked and the trailer itself will include flash images and various scary/bloodcurdling captions.
Length: The Length of the teaser trailer should be about 30 seconds to a minute long. Anything longer than that would be borderline trailer and revealing too much to the audience.
Synopsis: A teenage girl has been abducted by an obsessive serial killer. The serial killer has taken teenage girl to a basement where he has created a shrine of taken objects from the girl. The shrine of objects includes Polaroid photographs, newspaper articles and taken objects from his previous victims. The film focuses on the torture of his current victim and flashbacks of how he tortured his former victims. The obsessive killer eventually ends up torturing the teenage girl excessively; he ends up taking her life.
Intended Audience: The Teaser Trailer would be aimed more at 15 year olds onwards, this is because the film would obviously feature gruesome activity, startling sequences and a graphic nature that young people would find unattractive and almost unbearable.

We want to make this horror teaser trailer as we believe as a group that creating this teaser trailer will attract audiences' attention and create awareness. Creating a horror teaser trailer will allow us as a group to create a tense and frightening tone with ominous music and startling footage to grab the audience's attention and draw them to the film. The audience we wish to attract would be those that love horror movies and our intention is to bring them something new. We aim to produce questionnaires to get an idea of what our potential audience prefers and would like to view, what expectations they have in the Horror movie genre and what they have not yet seen featured in a horror movie.
The plan is to create a very bewildering atmosphere for the trailer. In terms of Mise en Scene, we will be having a Monk costume for our obsessive male character and bloody horror make up for our teenage victim. This will be easy to do as we have a monk costume and fake make up to create a bloody illusion. Props will include Polaroid pictures and a fake knife.
The project is worth doing because we are able to identify and experiment what works and what doesn’t work within film. It will give us a chance to show each of our individual uniqueness and qualities when it comes to ideas, filming, contrast, editing and many other aspects.
