From looking at this graph it shows that a number of people prefer a horror film to have one killer rather than more than one. I believe this is because it makes the film appear more interesting and allows audiences to think and figure out who the killer may be.
However, some films like 'My Bloody Valentine' makes the audience think that there may be more than one killer, when in actual real fact there was only one killer. This is usually done in order to keep the audience in suspense and to keep them excited.
As a group we decided to go along with the audiences' preference of having one killer so that the audiences do not feel disappointed or mislead.
