Traditional Ways Of Advertising.

Here i have done a study of ways in which we could use and promote our media products to audience members, and how we can target a specific age group that will advertise successfully to our audience. Here i have done some research into the traditional ways of advertising and how we can use traditional ways to advertise our media products.

A popular method of traditional advertising is Outdoor advertising.Down below are some facts on how the method of outdoor adverting is effective.
•Outdoor advertising is the fastest growing traditional medium in the UK.
•Everyone who leaves their home is exposed to outdoor advertising which automatically gets the media product/products into the audience members awareness and engagement.

• Statistics indicate that people now spend 70% of their time out of home.
•Unlike any other medium you don’t have to tune in, turn it on, dial up or turn the page to see it, it’s just there for free making it “Unavoidable”.
•Outdoor Advertising has been also known as the “Third space” which is the time we spend Out-of-Home and Out-of-Office. Previously it was dead time a time to get from A to B as quickly as possible. With the advent of phone and connectivity, it has become a much more active space allowing the consumers to engage with the advertiser on the go.
Up above is a photographic image which shows an example of outdoor advertising. Here MC Donald's have used a traditional way of advertising by advertising at a bus stop. This is effective as it is automatically engage able for audience members and is unavoidable. This method allows the advert to be visually engaged by commuters. Billboard adverts are large advertisements displayed on structures in public places this is another form of outdoor advertising. Most commonly, billboards are located along highways to target passing motorists. Another type of billboard advertising is a mobile banner or billboard. This can range from the signs seen at major sporting event arenas to billboard advertisements pasted on the sides of semi trailers.Again Billboard advertising is another effective way to advertise a media product, due to the scale size of the advert and the location it is unavoidable to the audience members visual which automatically engages them into the product that is being published. Up above is a photographic image which shows a media product being advertised on public transport. This is another method of outdoor advertising, here again this shows the effectiveness of how outdoor advertising has an effect on the visual audience. The advert above is advertising the release of a film production.By the advert being placed on a bus the awareness and engagement of the film release is being transported around different location engaging the attention form audience members. This again is another example of how outdoor advertising is unavoidable.
Up above is a photographic image which shows another example of outdoor advertising. Here are two adverts which have been displaced on a billboard in the London Underground.Again this is another effective way of outdoor advertising, as it automatically engages the attention from audience members as they commute to their destinations. This type of advertising is again another example of being avoidable from audience members, audience members will be visualised with this type of advertising everywhere as they use and facilitate the use of public transport.
